How does the Mac free trial work?
Marque Pro for Mac includes a 14-day free trial managed inside the app. No payment is required up front. After the trial, subscribe at $9.99/month or $99.99/year through the Mac App Store to keep editing and production tools. If you do not subscribe, viewing your PDFs stays free forever — only paid features are restricted.

How do pricing and cancellation work?
Marque Pro (Mac): $9.99/month or $99.99/year, auto-renewing via the Mac App Store. Cancel anytime in System Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions (or App Store account settings). Marque PDF (iPad): $4.99 one-time purchase, no subscription. Marque Pro (Windows): license key via direct download (coming soon; pricing announced at launch).

Which platforms are available?
Marque Pro is the full desktop edition on macOS (Mac App Store) and Windows (direct download — coming soon). Marque PDF on iPad is a focused field companion for markup, measure, and sharing with Apple Pencil. Desktop editions include live quantities and CSV export; iPad does not include the quantities panel or CSV.

How do shared projects and invites work?
Projects live in a folder you choose — iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Google Drive, Box, OneDrive, or your own Nextcloud server. Marque does not host your files. To collaborate, share a project invite link; each contributor's markup is attributed to them. No Marque account is required.

Is my data private?
Yes. Marque is local-first: your PDFs stay on your device. We do not require accounts, and the apps do not include analytics or telemetry. When you use cloud sync, your folder provider handles transfer — we never upload your documents. The optional AI submittal log (Mac only) sends only text you select to Anthropic using your own API key.
Troubleshooting

The app won't open a PDF
Confirm the file is a standard PDF and not password-protected by another app. Try opening it from Finder (Mac) or Files (iPad) via Open With → Marque. If the file lives in a cloud folder, ensure the provider has finished syncing. Restart the app and check for updates on the App Store.

Restore purchases (Mac or iPad)
Open the app and choose Restore Purchases from the subscription or settings menu. You must be signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. Subscription status for Marque Pro on Mac is managed by Apple — we cannot modify billing from our side.
