Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Marque ("we," "us") handles information in connection with Marque Pro (macOS and Windows) and Marque PDF (iPad), and this marketing website at marquepdf.com.

Local-first by design

Marque is a local-first application. Your PDFs and project files are stored on your device. We do not upload your documents to Marque-operated servers for storage or processing. The apps do not require a Marque account.

When you use shared project folders, files sync directly between your device and the cloud provider you choose — iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Google Drive, Box, OneDrive, or your own Nextcloud server — under that provider's terms. We never receive or store your document contents.

No analytics or telemetry

The Marque apps do not include analytics, advertising SDKs, or telemetry. This marketing website does not use analytics cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party tracking scripts.

Optional AI submittal log (Mac only)

Marque Pro for Mac includes an opt-in AI submittal log feature. If you enable it and provide your own Anthropic API key, the app sends only user-selected specification text to Anthropic's API for processing. We do not receive that text or your API key. Your use of Anthropic's services is subject to Anthropic's terms and privacy policy.

Purchases and payments

Mac App Store and iPad App Store: Purchases and subscriptions for Marque Pro (Mac) and Marque PDF (iPad) are processed entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card details, billing address, or Apple ID credentials.

Windows license keys (when available): License purchases for Marque Pro for Windows will be processed by Paddle as merchant of record. We will receive only the information needed to validate your license key (such as email and license status). Paddle handles payment data under its own privacy policy.

Information we receive from you

The only personal information we receive is what you choose to send us by email at support@marquepdf.com — for example, your email address, platform, app version, and description of a support issue. We use this solely to respond to your request.

What we do not do

• We do not sell personal information.
• We do not require accounts to use the apps.
• We do not upload or store your PDFs or project files on our servers.
• We do not collect usage analytics or telemetry from the apps.
